One kid down, one to go. And we will definitely go back to Dr. Greenspan for the second one.
Where to start? Dr. Greenspan is a perfectionist. Everything from the look to the bite will be flawless before he decides that the treatment has concluded. And I mean ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS. He nitpicked over micro-millimeters with kid #1 and insisted on extra treatment (at no extra cost to me). I appreciate that kind of attention to detail; after all, why bother with expensive orthodontia at all if it's not going to be done right.
He does not nickel and dime his patients - we decided on a price at the beginning of treatment and Dr. Greenspan stuck to that price - no matter what -- to the very end. His fee was very reasonable (note: we had estimates from two other popular North County orthodontists that were higher, although all three were comparable price-wise. We chose Dr. Greenspan based on two friends' recommendations).
Appointment scheduling was never an issue even though we had to cancel and change left and right. When a good portion of your clientele is school age kids with extracurricular activities, I'm sure it is a challenge to fit everyone in. Still, this never seemed to be a problem for this office. Appointment changes were made easily by phone, and sometimes at the last minute, unfortunately - but hey, stuff happens. Dr. G's office seemed to understand that pretty well and always tried to accommodate us.
This may be a minor point, but I like that his office is located in a shopping center with a Vons and a hardware store. I can get stuff done if it will be a long appointment.
My kids like him and his staff. Maybe minor, but this was important to me.
And very minor, but still -- he has an EXCELLENT selection of good up-to-date magazines in the waiting area (plus movies running for the kids!)
Overall, a really positive experience with excellent results. He's not cheap, but would you really want a "cheap" ortho treating your kid? Yes, we dropped some dough, but I will happily do it again for kid #2, who deserves nothing less than the best.

So Impressed with Dr. Greenspan
Before I met Dr. Greenspan, my lower teeth were crowding so much that it was causing problems with eating (e.g., a chipped upper tooth). With his orthodontic intervention, my bite has been restored, the crowding is gone, and my confidence in my smile has returned. His chair-side manner was genuinely kind and considerate, as were those of his entire support staff. I wish this was the case with all of my healthcare experiences, but I've found this kind of exemplary service to be the exception to the rule. So impressed have I been, that I would not consider anyone other than Dr. Greenspan for my entire family's orthodontic care.

The reason why I decided Dr Greenspan is mainly that my friend had aleady started with him, having had a very good impression; high level of skill, well trained assistants, good response when needed urgent appointment etc. He did a really good job on time. My daughter started seeing Dr. Greenspan first. He came highly recommended from her dentist. I can see why! He knows exactly what to do for his patients. My daughter needed her jaw expanded so all her teeth could fit in. Dr. Greenspan knew exactly what to do. She is still wearing braces and wants her teeth to look like mine.
I just got my braces off after wearing them for only 8 mths. They look fabulous and I owe it all to Dr. Greenspan. He has an excellent patient centered facility. His staff is extremely experienced and helpful. He takes you on time and has an excellent chair-side manner.

Great Doctor. Great Staff.
It's always a tough decision to get braces in your 30's, but after a visit to Dr. Greenspan's office, I was convinced it was the best thing to do. My teeth had always been a source of issue with my self-confidence, but I never wanted to go through the pain, etc... of having braces. Dr. Greenspan set reasonable expectations for me and then exceeded those expectations. His staff is the best...always smiling, personable, and attentive to needs. They took care of emergencies promptly and with friendliness and enthusiasm. When it came to results, Dr. Greenspan strives for nothing short of perfection. Dr. Ron Greenspan is the best!
I am a 26 year old working professional and I was especially worried with how I would look wearing braces, I was also worried about how long braces would take. I'm not what you would call vain, but appearances are important and I take pride in how I present myself! I went on a search of SEVERAL orthodontic practices, I was so lucky to find Dr. Ron Greenspan and his team. The Damon System braces that Ron Greenspan uses are so much smaller than all of the others that I had met with, and the time involved was around half that of the other offices I visited. The time between visits in his office was about every 2 months or something like that so I didn't feel like I spent all of my time in an office. The speed of the movement of my teeth made this experience convenient and memorable. I remember the first night after getting my braces I received a phone call from Dr. Greenspan himself, asking to see how I was doing. He is really a very nice doctor and I know that my treatment was in incredibly good hands. I always felt well taken care of. Dr. Greenspan and team of working professionals treated me like one of theirs with care, commitment, and compassion. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Find a Good Orthodontist
I had braces on for 4 years during highschool with a very well known orthodontist. After my braces came off, I wore my retainers everyday. Unfortunally, my teeth were not aligned in the back where I normally chew my food. I wasn't satisfied with the results of having braces on when I was in highschool. When I turned 27 I decided to give orthodontics another try. I was referred to see Dr. Ron Greenspan by my dentist. Dr.Greenspan told me that he was able to fix my bite and align my teeth. I am really happy with the results. Now my teeth are aligned perfectly and it also looks very nice from the front. Having a great smile really makes a big difference and gave me more confidence. Another thing that was really important to me was that Dr. Greenspan is a very nice and caring doctor. And the staff at the office were all always very professional and friendly. Fantastic Experiance!
Everyone should have an Orthodontist like Dr. Greenspan! This experience with my daughter started very early, Alexandra was in 3rd grade when we started. She will be 13 at the end of March this year. Her braces came off today and I cried when I saw how beautiful her teeth are! The entire experience has been so wonderful. Dr. Ron Greenspan is wonderful. Everyone here is very nice. This is why I have referred my friends here. I will continue to refer my friends here as long as I live. I love the service the best! I went to another consultation and they scared me telling me I would lose at least three teeth due to my periodontal problems during the difficult process of braces. Dr. Greenspan settled my fears. Through a team approach my general dentist, Dr. Brian Davey, my periodontist, Dr. Michael Yokoyama, and Dr. Greenspan made sure that I was in good hands every step of the way. Though I had a complex problem I never was afraid. And I have amazing results that I am EXTREMELY happy with.

Perfect Experience & Perfect Teeth for My Wedding!!!!!!!
I went to Dr. Greenspan's office as a professional reference to have my teeth straightened for my wedding in July of 2008. I am an R.D.A. who works in the dental community where Dr. Greenspan's office is located. I went in for initial consultation and was promised by Dr. Greenspan himself that I would have my braces off in time for my wedding, and sure enough he kept his word and my teeth look wonderful. I couldn't have been happier with the results of my treatment. Dr. Greenspan did a wonderful job! The staff at his office is wonderful, and always a pleasure to be around. The assistants Rachel, Jill, Hunter and Nam were all great to work with. Their treatment coordinator Desiree was always available to help with any questions I had about anything; not just treatment. I can't forget Annika who always fixed the schedule somehow so I could get in during my lunch breaks so I wouldn't have to miss too much work. Overall, if I had to rate Dr. Greenspan and his staff they would get an 11 out of 10. I will be taking my daughter there for treatment when she is ready, and anybody that I come across that asks me, "Which orthodontist should I go to?" I will always refer them to Dr. Greenspan and his wonderful staff.

I interviewed several orthodontists before being referred to Dr. Greenspan. He came highly recommended from my dentist. Thank God I got this referral. Not only was the treatment short and sweet, but the quality of care was outstanding. Dr. Greenspan has been such a joy to work with. I have since referred several friends and family members to him. The best selling point for me was the type of brackets he used. They made the entire process much shorter than what I was told by other orthodontists. As an adult, the timeline was very important to me. Orthodontic Practice that is "Fun for the Whole Family"
Dr. Greenspan came recommended to our family by our pediatric dentist but his practice and results sell themselves. He has treated all three of my children and after seeing my oldest daughter's movie star smile, I wanted one too. After a year in braces, I got my wish! I LOVE MY PERFECT TEETH!

Life Changing Orthodontics
After going to several orthodontists about the Invisalign procedure, I am so happy I left my smile in the hands of Dr. Greenspan. The other doctors informed me that I could do Invisalign but that my teeth, due to overcrowding, would not have perfect results. Being in my late 20s, having conventional braces just wasn't something I wanted to do. After only a few minutes in Dr. Greenspan's chair, he told me I could have a perfect smile if I used my Invisalign properly. I started the process a few weeks later. It took about 1.5 years but the results have been life changing! For the first time in my life, I love looking at my smile in the mirror. People compliment me on my teeth, something that I used to be so self-conscious about. I always feel comfortable with the staff and they are always able to give their patients appointments that work well with their schedules, which was very important for me. I Would Recommend Dr. Greenspan to Anyone
Dr. Greenspan and his staff have been excellent. My dentist, Dr. Chan recommended him as the best in the area and he has been a real find. I was intimidated at wearing braces as an adult but found that 40% of Dr. Greenspan’s patients are also adults and that made me feel better.
Also as the staff deal with younger people very often they are kinder/friendlier than I think they could otherwise be. So I appreciated that, being a real wimp at the dentist.

Getting my braces on was an all-around great experience. My braces were virtually pain free and comfortable. Dr. Ron Greenspan was a great orthodontist who made my orthodontic experience feel like a special one. He made my appointments fun to come to, and the entire staff had great attitudes. Whenever I would come in, the staff would always have smiles on their faces and we would always start up a conversation about school or sports and it was really fun. After getting my braces off, I was really happy with the results. My teeth look the way I have always pictured them.
